We were approached by a Brand Communications Agency with offices globally to develop a custom HTML5 game for a leading soft drinks manufacturer as part of a multi-channel campaign which included prominent TV advertising.
We were approached by a leading London Brand Communications Agency to work with one of their clients, a well known FMCG brand in the soft drinks market. The project involved developing a responsive online game as part of an integrated campaign across TV, print and digital to launch their new kids range of products.
We were tasked with utilising existing assets from the brand owner, whilst also creating some new ones in order to create a responsive HTML online game, which could be played across multiple devices, including iPhone, iPad and desktop. We had to adhere to strict brand guidelines, while keeping the game simple and fun to play for it's target users (age 5-12). Whilst the gameplay and CSS animations were intentionally kept fairly straightforward at the client's request, we focused our attention on the game mechanics, to ensure that it worked as well as possible.
We had to work to a fairly tight deadline given that the TV, print and POS campaigns, which all referenced the game along with on-pack messaging, had all been scheduled.
Given the quick turnaround time, everyone was more than satisfied with the result. The online game played as expected and was well received overall, although other aspects of the integrated campaign failed to drive as many users to it as had been hoped.
